Separate State's Satire

The news(10/12/2009) -- Andhra continues to smolder over Telangana issue.
TRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao could register his name in history by carving out a new state from Andhra Pradesh. After all, he has fasted for 11 days, such a big sacrifice for the division of a State... So as we can well see how hard our politicians are working to DIVIDE. Divide the people, divide the land, divide the water, divide the morals.... go on dividing, they would someday devise a formula to divide the air too, so that you won't be able to breathe in my space.
In the past such divisions of state have given us Honorable Ministers like Madhu Koda (Jharkhand), Shibu Soren(Jharkhand) , Ajit Jogi(Chattisgarh) and they have already given as exceptional examples of the extraordinary feat they have achieved after the division of the state and how the state has progressed after the division... sorry I forgot to mention progressed in corruption, progressed in inefficiency.
Soon I think Raj Thackrey will be demanding a separate state in the name of Marathi Manoos and will name it as MarathaRAJya. Not unexpectedly, Ms. Mayawati has already proposed to trifurcate UP, what do you want Ms Mayawati, a state with just your statues named as MAYApradesh.
What I fail to understand is why NO MINISTER goes on a hunger strike for REMOVAL OF THE PREVALENT CORRUPTION, why NO MINISTER goes on a hunger strike to get KASAB HANGED, why NO MINISTER goes on a hunger strike FOR FEEDING THE POOR.
The CORRUPTS ARE WORKING SO HARD and TAKING SO MUCH PAIN, TO KEEP THE CORRUPTION NOT JUST ALIVE BUT AUGMENTING. That's why they have the last say, the final victory... no one is defending the MORALITY at the other end.
Even the local MLA of our area is now planning to go on a hunger strike and his demand is to declare the bunch of colonies as a separate city and he wants to be the mayor of that city. In the neighborhood, the son is on a hunger strike for declaring a room as his separate house and him being the master of that house. Even my colleague is considering to go on a hunger strike and ask the company to declare his cubicle/workstation as a separate company and he wants to be the CEO of that company.

Finally, now I understand

There were times when even the smallest of the gifts were the most cherished ones and there are times when even the costliest gifts seem so petty. How even a comic book was the most cherished gift I got in my childhood and now even the 50k bike was not good enough for me.
How even the 10Rupee note was once so gratifying for the new year celebration and now even a 1000 seems so scrimpy.
There were times when I thought that love is as pure as sapphire and then there was a time when I learnt that love was just a profane desire.
There were times when even the biggest of disputes/fights that I had with friends in the morning got resolved by the evening and then there are times when even the smallest of altercations have taken years and still there are no resolutions.
There were times when I was taught that to lie/cheat is the biggest crime and how now I cheat myself and others to earn the green bucks.
I have grown up and in the transition from a child, I have lost somethings and acquired somethings. What I have lost is the innocence and acquired is the ego. What I have lost is the elegance and acquired is the ostentation. What I have lost is the love and acquired is the envy.
What I have lost is WE and gained is ME.

Friends Are Friends

You love them, you fight them, you oppose them, you defend them.... FAF
You contest them, you endorse them, you trust them, you support them, you party together, you study all night, you dine together, you wine together, you bug them, you hug them... FAF

I wonder when I write today how our friendship began, there was no picturesque starting. A hi, hello at some time.. a few casual meet-ups and then slowly and steadily it grew like we never knew or thought of. I never knew that so different personalities could ever complement each other so well.
We played together and he loved to win. I loved to lose when I was on the other side(though I could not have defeated him :) and l loved to win when we were a team(I knew I'll win when he's at my side :). I still remember all the times when he just stood at my side and that was all I needed I could fight the world upright. I had my failures and imperfections that were shrugged off like a kids tantrum.
Then came the tough times of our friendship, when the trust seemed to be broken. The failures and imperfections seemed to have taken a longer stride, it was me who got entangled and had to find a way out. I had to learn to set the limits which was extremely painful and gave me an intimidating sense of aloneness but then it turned out to be expressing the same love in a different manner. It is the friendship that I valued most and I just could not let it go by. The good days were back again and we were again on a joyous ride.
Then came the time of the big separation, our careers were on our mind, though I always want to be on his side. But we wanted to see each other successful and take pride in each others achievement. So the distance was inevitable but with the distance the bond strengthened. We have a few little meetings now like we had in the beginning but it doesn't seems he has gone, cause our hearts in big and small ways has the love that keeps us strong.

We are friends and friends forever,
We are not practical and clever,
We are what we signify and one day we will be together.

Find 'The Ant Within'

While I was idling at my study table, I saw an ant as it went about hunting for some food. Just to make its search easier I brought a sugar cube from the kitchen and placed it at some distance from it. I observed it closely as it neared the sugar cube.

People might think of them as simple insects that wonder around all day without doing anything, but ants busy themselves with tiny tasks to accomplish big things. Ants are industrious and loyal, and they do never complain even when they have to accomplish tasks which are much bigger than they are.

I have been fascinated with the way these small ants, millions and trillions in numbers live together as a family in their colony and they have no problem with each other, no mix-ups, no disorders. They work in a team, and working together they are able to create an amazing world for themselves.

Why can’t then we the People with far more superior intellect than the ants understand each other and work for common good. Why can’t we treat our nation as ants treat their colony and stop in-fighting. Why can’t then we be loyal to our work and our nation as ants are to their colony and their queen.

We have the ability to modify, tap resources and defend ourselves, but our social organizations are so weak. We have the ability to solve complex problems but the communication between individuals is so weak. We are able to accomplish far more than we think, but we self limit ourselves.

As I still sat there idling; this train of thought that passed my mind, somehow got communicated to the ant as well, and instead of devouring the sugar cube it stood there gazing me. The ant then said, “Hey Rajat, find The Ant Within”.

Dreams....

Dreams.... tangibles, non tangibles, real, allusive, distant, near.... We keep running after the dreams without even realizing how much it will take out of us to make our dreams come true. To dream is quite an easy task, to materialize your dreams is a tough one, an extremely tough one. Wohh I have been dreaming about marrying Katrina for long... illusive. I have been thinking about getting a physique like Hrithik... tangible. How about being the Mr. Prime Minister... distant. Dreams dreams and just dreams. Time is running away, hey wait ... I need to ponder upon a certain things, I need to decide how to work out certain things.. time time don't run away wait. No it won't. So will I keep chasing the time or wil I run ahead of the time. How about being with the time... Wooo another set of questions, I will need some time to answer them:) Time is running out need to conclude..
The question is whether you can emerge victorious at the end of the dawn. Every morning you wake up with a dream, every night you sleep with a dream, but are you courageous enough to live upto your dreams or will you keep dreaming and it would be just the dreams?

Maya-Mega-Watt-i Shock

Kudos to Ms Mayawati for spending Rs 2000cr on erecting grandiose statues of herself in a state having the lowest literacy rate, the highest maternal mortality rate, largest child labour force and where more than 59 million people are below the poverty line. The whopping Rs 2000 cr, if it would have been used for the upliftment of the poor, building schools and hospitals besides social upliftment schemes for oppressed class would have earned you a million praise but pity Ms Mayawati believes so much in vanity.
This probably was not the only case of Ms Mayawati's wealth show. How could one forget that
on her 52nd birthday last year, Mayawati's party workers decked out Lucknow, with hundreds of thousands of lights, while Mayawati greeted supporters with an expensive diamond necklace and matching earrings.
The irony is that in a country where 60% of the population is below the poverty line and live in squalid conditions, Ms Mayawati didn't even flinched an eye before such a huge mis-expenditure. I wonder how much of the so claimed spent amount have ended in the pockets of the Mayawati's pet politicos. I pity the poor people(don't bias them in the name of dalits) who have shown trust in Mayawati just to be betrayed by her. It could be termed as the biggest deception of the century. So are now the eyes of the 'Janta' opened.. or do they still nedd Mayawati to ransack the whole nation before they come into action.
It is a nude display of the high level of corruption prevalent in our political system and we have
willingly settled for the fact that we will never ever get an honest leader. The likes of Mayawati should be jailed and hanged to death for drunken political practices, yes, drunk politics like drunken driving for she has lost all her senses and gone mad with power. Could somebody please stop this drunk lady before she ruins a million more life's.

Jaago re

Kab jaagega ae tu insaan, jab tut raha hoga aasman..
Jab yeh dharti phat jayegi, ya jab kayamat aa jayegi..
Tab jaag ke tu kya kar lega, kya tu maut se lad lega..
Jab aaj nahi tu jaag saka tab jaag ke tu kya karlega, tab jaag ke tu kya karlega??

The elections of the worlds biggest democracy, India, will be starting from April 16. This time I am highly concerned of the results of the elections. Will we be ruled by regional chauvinists or will there be a national party Congress or BJP who will be serving its term at the Parliament. I want it to be anyone of the two national parties and no Fronts to rule the nation, for that would be the biggest damage to India, The Nation. I imagine the situation to be like a family of 10 brothers, each fighting for his share in the home, what will happen in such a family, feuds over little issues, clashes within the house for every penny, each brother would be trying to capitalize his position in the house and finally battles within the family leading to bloodstreams... Imagine that happening to the Nation, each and every politico would be working for warming up his pockets in the next 5 years, corruption would be at its highest level, we would never be able to reach to a conclusive decision on National Issues, for each party will have his own agenda and thoughts, the Prime Minister would just become a puppet of the various fronts, fearful of losing his seat before the tenure. The politicos will be dividing the countrymen on the caste, creed, region, religion bases.. there would be many battles within the country which will lead to instability and then we will become like our neighbors Pakistan, where government will have no role to play.

My plea to each and every countrymen is to vote for just one of the National Party- BJP or Congress, but please don't give the power in the hands of any Front.
For giving the power in the hand of the Front would be the doomsday of our nation, and we should then be prepared to face the battles within the nation, battle against corruption, battle against regional divides... and if that happens there will be rivers of blood flowing all around, as no battle have ever ended without taking the lives of the countrymen.

The Software Engineer who lost his Ferrari

A year ago software industry was the most sought after, the people in the industry were raking in moolahs.

There were many new money makers in town, they called themselves Techie. They were young and talented and with just a few frog leaps they could easily grab millions. Onsites, bonuses, allowances added a pretty fair amount to there pocket. They also found their dream gals in this industry. The industry now not only offered him roti(food), kapda(shelter) aur makaan(home) but also pyaar(love). They had there weekend whiskies and movies, as the most exciting part the job allowed them to have. They could now afford the gizmos and gadgets and clothes that they always wanted to.

All was good and well in there life till the day America hit with the recession meteor, and all of the sudden they started losing their jobs, and with their jobs went their aspirations, their dreams; not only did they lost their bread and shelter but soon they lost their love too. They tried hard to find a new job before their limited resources dry up but now the industries were freezing the intakes, it was not that easy to frog leap into other companies, neither were they left with any bargaining power. It was the time when they started to lose it all and life seemed to have done a great injustice to them. The Techies have now lost there ferrari.....

But was it literally like that or was it destinies call to them to do something that they have not done before, to make a career in the field they only wished to go but they lacked courage to venture into it. How many a times were they agitated to be confound into those 2x2 cubicles, how many times were they fed up of fixing the bugs in the codes, working like donkeys from 10 to 10 just to support the systems... all these times they wished to do something else, something substantial which would give them happiness along with all the money they earn. So isn't this the right time to do all that, why should they confine themselves as just being Software Engineers, why not to look in the world were many more opportunities can be explored. This is the time when they can go for higher education, this is the time when can think about starting their own software company, this is the time when they can ramp into various other careers. For it is on you what you think you can do or you can't; men has set boundaries for himself, because God never restricted anyone to explore in this world. So lets move ahead and before you actually lose your Ferrari, catch up with your dreams... for if you believe in them, you just might be making yourself lined up for many more of them.

"The only confinement you have is the one which is built by your mind... Go ahead, Explore better"
