Khoon chala Aur Chal ke Ruk Gaya

Now I think that what happened on 26 Nov 08 had a little impact on me and most of them like me... soon after we had cans in our hands to shrugg off of our incapicity.... I have mustered courage to drain off the can... These words of mine are just to keep reminding the soul I possess : "Jo khoon aaj ruka hain usse phir chalna hoga, nahi to ek din mujhe bhi mere desh ke neta ya kisi aatanki ke haath marna hoga"

Kuch din ka woh rosh tha,

Kuch din ka woh josh tha,

Kuch din ke liye Khoon chala aur Khoon chal ke ruk gaya….

Kuch pal ke woh jazbaat the,

Kuch pal ko aankhen nam thi,

Kuch pal ke liye Khoon chala aur Khoon chal ke ruk gaya….

Kuch Aag lagi thi dil me aur Aag lag ke bhuj gayi ...

Kuch awaaz uthi thi man me aur Awaaz uth kar dab gayi….

Kuch shabd dil ko chubh gaye aur kuch dil cheer ke nikal gaye...

Kuch kar gujarne ko Khoon chala aur Khoon chal ke ruk gaya….

Kuch karna dil ne chaha tha, kuch karte karte ruk gaya...

A Salute to Maj Sandeep Unnikrishnan

There are few who get to live a life of honour and very few who get an Honoured departure. Born on March 15, 1977, Maj Sandeep was felled by a terrorist's bullet during a flushing-out operation at the Hotel Taj. Entrusted with the task of evacuating hostages, Major Sandeep sacrificed his life while trying to shield one of the injured soldiers from terrorists attack.
He is a true patriot and and a brave hero and proved that he is the son of soil, one who fought for his motherland and saved her grace at the cost of his life.
I salute the brave officers and men who fought terror in Mumbai. Thanks to them, the country was safe during the hour of crisis. More than our politicians who fight terror by issuing statements, we need men like them who saved Mumbai.
After all "Action speaks louder than words."

Encroached Enraged India

On this day 27th Nov 2008 when I am jotting these words I am enraged and at the same time incapable to do anything but moan on the incapicity of ours to fight the terrorism. I, an ardent admirer of Gandhi, am now following his three quotes "Bura mat dekho, Bura mat suno, Bura mat bolo"(See,Hear,Speak, no evil) and I have even stopped thinking about anything, because this taxs me a lot. The seething anger and unchecked tears of mine are finding no vent. There is a strong fire that is ignited in my mind. What were we waiting for when we have continually been under attack from past one year, even the terrorists got bored cause they never got any attention from our "DEAF AND BLIND" democratic government; they were so desparate to be heard, to gain more than the just the front-page news or a day long TV coverage, so this time they striked so hard that the water came down not down eyes but pants, yes it made our political system pee in their pants. I think our politicians will now be finally out of their vote and note bed and will be looking for a refuge.... ohhh please don't go out in the public or else you will be axed.
I was wondering where Raj Thackrey and his Navnirman Sena went missing when his mumbai is been attacked by terrorists, why didn't they went after the terrorists and drove them away in the same fashion they drove the north indian's. He was concerned about Marathi manoos jobs but what about his motherland's life. Mr Raj Thackrey, your Mumbai is bleeding and is under attack, where are you... I think you must be busy cutting a cake with Terrorist incripted on it and celebrating, Aren't you???
Today ohhh Almighty and on all days like this I look up to you and just want to ask something that I could never undestand, please answer me WHY??

Yes They Can..... No We Can't and No We Won't

While I was listening to the victory speech of Obama today(5th nov 10:30am) , I was confronted with a question from my sister, "Will we in India ever see such a campaign?"; I was speechless.
Elections in India have descended to an ugly affair of prejudices and we have discovered religion, caste and now the sons of soil as the new agenda to fan passions to gain territorial hegemony. Obama's victory is HISTORIC as it is not just his victory, it is the victory of the American's over the prejudice of race and colour; while we here in India have no answers to it.

Can India come up to an age where we would have such an organized and disciplined elections? No we Cant
Will we ever have in politics the people of Barack Obama's or McCain's stature?
No we Won't
Can we stop Raj Thackeray's MNS(Maharashtra Nashak Sena.... thats how I interpret it) from reaping the seed of divisions and his brand of terrorism?
No We Cant.
There are numerous questions that need to be answered here but the most important one is:
Will the Indian's stand up as did the American's?
No We Won't.... or Will WE????

Yarron da Tashan

This one is dedicated to those special few who are away from me but not apart:

Footsteps

"A fool lives life with only a degree, a wise man lives with enough knowledge to face whatever life throws at him. Seize every opportunity that is offered to you. Do not be frightened of any new challenge, and should you fail, there is no reason to be ashamed. You will learn far more from your mistakes than your triumphs. Do not be afraid of your destiny. Be afraid of nothing. Challenge every writ, and let it not be said of you, I walked a path but never left an imprint." It seems that most pople simply let life happen to them. However a few, a very few, decide the direction they want their life to be in. To stay alive is not just enough; there has to be somehting substantial about your life. If every single person thinks about making his/her life substantial, the world would be heaven and the life will be graceful.

The Mask

The MASK -- I am not talking about the movie where someone takes the wooden artifact, wraps it around his face, and personifies the repressed side of his personality. Had it been the case such artifacts would be valuable asstes in identifying the true self of a being. But we are living in a world of real, variables and unknowns, with the only assest of mind and heart.
*Like those who are intelligent or dumb, but avoid the cunning ones.
**Like those who are innocent or clever, but avoid the hoodwinkers.
***Like those with pretty faces or not so pretty faces, but avoid the MASKED ones.
The most beautiful face can some times turn out to be the most decieving one and the Saint could turn out to be a swindler.
It's not the most soft spoken one but the one who has the courage to speak the truth,
It's not the most religious one but the one who follows the sacred path,
It's not the selfish one but the selfless creature - who I term as been wearing his real visage, the rest is all facade.
"Goodness is something that should be imbibed in you rather than an act for you; for you may be the best actor of goodwill to the people but you should remember that the real judge are not they whom you are popular with, but it is HE who maintains your scorecard."

Fall and Fall

The title aptly justifies the Indian Politics, cause there has been no half-decade till date which I could cite as the Golden Era of politics. Corruption is so deeply engulfed in Indian system that even the Superheros for whom nothing appeared impossible will fail to fight against the evil of corruption, their powers will surrender to the prevalent force of corruption. The Superheros will retun to their planets or will seize to the power of corruption and start living a life of seclusion if forced to fight the corruption.
The tug of war between the political parties to win/defeat the confidence vote on 22 July 2008 exposed the mockery that is Indian politics. Throwing values to the winds, parties reduced the political process into an auction where votes were sold to the highest bidder. The Parliament show really was the black dawn in the daylight. And what's ironical is all our political parties failed to see beyond their self-interest. The BJP would have never stopped boasting had it been instrumental in signing the historic nuclear deal but opposed it in Parliament for the sake of opposition. The Left parties like always took a U turn when a path of progress was laid ahead of them. When Chandrababu Naidu was Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he never gave the impression that he was against U.S. imperialism. Yet as an opposition leader, he talked of American hegemony and how the deal was against national interests. Mayawati opposed the deal not because she had any credible arguments against it, but because she was lured by others as the Chief of the Third Front and the next PM if the government collapses. The theathrics of Tuesday will however make no difference to our "Aam Aadmi", since he has yet again decided to be the spectator or rather been the puppet of the politicians.

Sandals - A Tribute

This blog is a memorial to my "sandals", the sandals that served me for 6 years before came the time to say goodbye.

Sandals ohhh the beautiful brown sandals,
The sandals that I bought, After my previous one's were lost.
Though they were quite lovely, But you too are no less.
The loyalty of yours, that saved me from a trillion pebbles & thorns.
Your truely elegant design, that made my feet look fine.
Sandals ohhh the beautiful brown sandals,
Now you are gone and my feets feel quite alone.

Who am I....

"Astitva kya hain mera, kis baat ka hain mujhe Maan,
Lakhon ki bheed me yaha, kho gayi meri Pehchan,
Tammana hain yeh meri, kuch aisa kar jao,
Ki marne se pehle log jaane mera kaam"
(What worth is my existence; what is it that I am proud of. Of the millions of people out there, I have lost the identity of my own. There is only one wish now that I want to fulfill, that before I die people know my work.)
I am now part of the race for survival. This is the time to work and earn hard and smart, apply all what you have learnt uptill date to earn big bugs for living and keep the learning process going so that you still are smarter than the dumbs. Right now if you'll ask me who I am and what am I proud of I would say "I am an Indian" and "Proud of being one"- you may term me a jingoist for saying so but thats the way I am and may be thats my only saving grace at the moment. I hate being helpless at times, when the corrupt system creeps on what you think are your rights, though I know that I am not the only one who is incapacitated and hapless, but I want to change the things for myself. I have seen people dreaming big but few sacrifice for realiazation of the dream; I have failed twice in a row now and I believe that failure is for those who make half-hearted attempts for success, so it makes two half-hearted attempts of mine, however that has not stopped me from dreaming. Being a piscean, I ponder a lot in dreams; a daydreamer is what they call me. Soon I want to materialize the dreams of mine. I don't fear the obstacles in my way but I am still vary of the unknowns and how they may hamper my dreams. I am in a search of recognition, the search of my own identity and the day I would get that, the question WHO AM I be answered by the World.

Shrinking gadgets...To...Shrinking minds

Years ago we used to have big B&W television sets, heavy noise making vehicles, bulky telephones with entangled wires but with time we progressed to LCD screens, Nano cars and wireless cellular phones. It's not just the gadgets that shrinked but also the "altruism"(unselfish concern for others: for those who need to search the meaning in a dictionary or who are now not able to recollect it at the moment).
We are now habituated of living in the narrowness of our own mind and beyond this we find the beauty of the nature, the world which surrounds us bleak. How often we see a debilitated body around us longing for food and we keep enjoying the flavour of the icecreams in our hand, oh!! and then we never forget to mention it.. Destiny. We do maintain our houses free from even the minutest particles of dust or waste but how easy is it for us to throw and spit outside our windows and doors because that is where our hygiene ends. We think of being a Bradd Pitt, a Sachin Tendulkar, a Shahrukh Khan,a Aishwariya Rai, a Mukesh Ambani.... but how many of us or do any of us think of being the Gandhi, Florence Nightingale, Mother Teresa, good to read stuffs please don't ask me to follow.
Change is constant and yes we have changed but this change is not an amelioration but a pejoration of out ethical and moral values. It is not that every mind is a victim of this new age phenomenon but we have surrendered to situation around us.
A new revolution seems to be the only remedy for breaking free from this mind web but that.....
