The Festival

बाहर जगमगाहट,
भीतर घना तम,
त्यौहार की धूम में,
मन को चुभ रहा एक गम I

फटाको की गूँज
तो कही तबाही का मातम,
त्यौहार की धूम में,
मन को चुभ रहा एक गम I

घर से निकला मैं लेने त्यौहार का साजो सामान,
देखा सड़क पर बैठी  थी  एक नन्ही सी जान,
बेच रही थी वो फूलों की माला और रंगोली के रंग,
एहसास हुआ मुझे कितना तंग था उसका जीवन,
त्यौहार की धूम में,
मन को चुभ रहा एक गम,
बाहर जगमगाहट,
भीतर घना तम I
