Kudos to Ms Mayawati for spending Rs 2000cr on erecting grandiose statues of herself in a state having the lowest literacy rate, the highest maternal mortality rate, largest child labour force and where more than 59 million people are below the poverty line . The whopping Rs 2000 cr, if it would have been used for the upliftment of the poor, building schools and hospitals besides social upliftment schemes for oppressed class would have earned you a million praise but pity Ms Mayawati believes so much in vanity.
